Home Builder

Swerhone Architecture worked closely with a local homebuilder to make-over selected home designs from their existing portfolio of homes. The focus was exclusively on the street elevations, with minor revisions to floor plans as required. The homebuilder’s target market is typically a two-story, 3-bedroom home ranging between 2,500 SF and 3,000 SF. The owners requested contemporary, popular, craftsman-style homes with timber and stone details. Swerhone Architecture provided services, from preliminary sketches, through to colored rendering, and construction details for each home. Two alternative elevations were provided for the five homes requested.

Small Homes

The majority of single-family homes designed by Swerhone Architecture have been in conjunction with planned unit developments. The homes are typically small, unique homes, designed in a neo-traditional manner with front porches and rear-located garages. The homes are designed as detached, usually around 24’ wide, but range up to 32’-36’ in width, or as wide as the site and the budget allows. We work with local jurisdictions to ensure timely permits and provide master planning and landscape design.
