Soare Apartments
Multifamily Residential | Site Planning | Permit Phase
The Soare Apartments are two multifamily buildings located in Woodland, WA. Both developments are being coordinated under the experienced oversight of Compass Contractors.
Each parcel presents its own unique challenges and opportunities. The central drive bisects the two properties, creating a need for thoughtful coordination and planning.
- Soare Apartments (Building A)
Site Area: 14,413 square feet
Planned Density: 14 units - Soare Apartments (Building B)
Site Area: 12,801 square feet
Planned Density: 10 units
Both buildings are designed as three-story wood-frame walkups, each featuring two-bedroom, two-bathroom residential units. The design optimizes the building footprint while adhering to zoning codes, parking requirements, and spatial constraints.
Architect Derrick Swerhone led the site planning and residential layouts for this project. His work reflects a careful balance between the desired unit density and the real-world physical and regulatory boundaries of the site. The result is a customized and efficient fit—one that respects both the landscape and city planning guidelines.
The project is currently entering the building permit submission phase and is a prime example of Swerhone Architecture’s approach to smart, context-sensitive multifamily housing design.
