Columbia Street Study-Vancouver, WA

The City of Vancouver is acquiring land and discussing plans for future development opportunities near the Esther Short Park area within the Vancouver Central Business District. The City had viewed this area as an exceptional opportunity to revitalize the Esther Short District, and subsequently the Downtown are. The City formed a “Columbia Street Study Committee”, (CSSC) consisting of active citizens, city planning staff, and two local firms providing urban design consulting. These consultants were J.D. Walsh Landscape Architect and Derrick Swerhone, Architect.
