Lutheran Family Housing

The Lutheran Family Housing & Daycare 30-unit residential project features five 6-plex townhomes designed specifically to support single-parent families. At the heart of the community is an innovative, detached 3,000 SF daycare facility, fostering a family-centered environment. A unique aspect of the project is that tenant families contribute volunteer hours at the daycare as part of their lease agreement, strengthening community bonds and shared responsibility. Sponsored by the Saskatchewan Housing Authority, this project was developed during Derrick’s tenure at Gary Marvin Architect in Saskatoon, Canada, reflecting a thoughtful approach to affordable family housing combined with supportive services. Location: Saskatchewan, Canada
