Swerhone Architecture designed The Carriage House, a two-story office building that blends seamlessly with the historic character of downtown Vancouver, Washington. With careful attention to context and community input, Derrick collaborated closely with the City’s project review committee to ensure the design met both functional needs and the area’s aesthetic goals.

Developed for local business leader Mr. Bill Hidden, the building delivers a modern, professional workspace that respects the neighborhood’s architectural heritage. The design reflects timeless materials, pedestrian-friendly scale, and thoughtful details that enhance the surrounding streetscape.

Today, The Carriage House stands as a welcomed addition to Vancouver’s urban fabric—honoring the past while supporting the city’s continued growth and vitality.
