River of Life
This 10,500 SF remodel transformed a former Bavarian-style restaurant into a vibrant new worship space for River of Life, a small but growing community church. Located in an underserved neighborhood along the I-5 corridor in Hazel Dell, WA, the project gave new life to a long-vacant building.
Swerhone Architecture led the complete interior renovation, working closely with city officials to convert the space to A-3 occupancy. The design features a welcoming fellowship hall and second-story classrooms, made possible by the addition of new exterior exit stairs. The result is a revitalized facility that supports both worship and educational ministries, while contributing to the broader renewal of the neighborhood.
