Memorial Lutheran Church

Swerhone Architecture collaborated with Memorial Lutheran Church to create a long-term, phased master plan that supports the expansion of their inner-city ministry. Located in a culturally diverse neighborhood in Vancouver, WA, the church faces a unique set of community challenges and opportunities.

Through close engagement with the church leadership, Swerhone Architecture developed a strategic capital campaign and presented multiple design options to guide future growth. The master plan includes an 8,000 SF sanctuary, an 8,000 SF multipurpose space, a 10,000 SF administrative and education wing, and an additional 8,000 SF dedicated to classroom spaces.

The design balances flexibility with purpose, providing a roadmap for meaningful, phased development to support worship, education, and community outreach in the years to come.
