This award winning urban infill project developed (14) attached townhomes on just under 1-acre of R-3 property. The project was an innovative approach to urban planning, offering street orientated front porches, rear loaded garages, and a fully ADA compliant single level townhome. The interface between the adjoining 3-story townhouse and the single level home was reconciled by designing a bonus room for the 3-story unit above the ADA garage. The transition of this building massing from the 1 to 3 story is a very significant architectural design element, which enhances the urban experience, maximizing living space, and satisfying local planning ordinance.
